Artist Statement
I am trying to help fill the void as I see it, by creating art based around original people, looking very original, and universally creative, and powerful, with elements of mother nature and the dark skies on a foundation of Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom, and Justice rendering everyone timeless and boundless, in a world filled with chains.
Most people remember an image over everything else. Children remember the images they see. I started creating art because I wanted to see myself as great. Image is important but most importantly “self image” is very, very important. Most original people, myself included, have self-image/esteem issues. Therefore I make art to speak to me from the walls, reminding me that I am great or I should be great, so I can be great continually.
With the use of vibrant colors, symbolism, elements of nature, sexuality and intimacy; I hope to promote the idea of peace and love amongst each other starting with self, extending outwards to mate, to family, and to the world like an onion. Then we all can become like the sun, shining love on all without prejudice.
Most of my art expresses peace and love, unity and originality, uniqueness and oneness, royalty and highness, I and I, us and we, togetherness.
My inspirations come from many people, places and things. The many people who have tried to contribute to humanity in a positive way. The many places that held the greatest empires of the world for thousands of years, and the things that made those people great. These same elements have been used over and over again as the foundation, but all falls when they forgot their foundation…Great
people, places and things with the element of Spirituality, God, The Creator or Nature which allows people to practice Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom, and Justice for all.
I work primarily with Acrylic Paints, Chalk and Oil Pastels.
